What makes this tour unique
North wales and especially the Conwy valley is doused in a plethora of history. We’ll visit many of the highlights that Llandudno, Conwy and Betws y Coed have to offer including its ancient historic castles, underground mines, gardens and fine scenery and nature. This tour is not to be missed!

Our meeting point. After a greeting and briefing, we slowly navigate ourselves through Llandudno, onto the promenade before visiting happy valley

Happy valley is exactly that. A wonderful setting surrounded by botanical gardens which has a close connection to the famous Alice In Wonderland story, and overlooking the Victorian pier.

We delve into North Wales’s ancient past visiting the stone circles monument at happy valley, and revealing its connection to Stonehenge.

Spectacular drive of the Great Orme’s marine drive, the longest of its kind in Great Britain. We will see the famous Kashmiri goats, possibly the local nesting seals, the limestone caves, and the wildlife within the Orme, and its stunning scenery, before taking in the views of the isle of Anglesey, Snowdon, and millionaires row.
- We visit the world’s largest prehistoric copper mine over 4000 years in age. Snaking down through the tunnels to enter the larger chambers, you’ll be fascinated with the history of how the past workers made a living underground.
- We stop at the majestic medieval castle town of Conwy. Enjoy many photo opportunities as this village is quite simply breath-taking. stop here where you can snap shots of the beautiful old castle and the city castle walls and estuary. Some may choose to spend their time visiting the oldest Elizabethan house in the UK, known as Plas Mawr. A stunning example of wealth from yesteryear. Or use the time to wonder this great castle town.
- A wonderful gem set upon the bank of the estuary and part of the castle walls is great Britain’s smallest house. With arms outstretched, you can touch either side. Unbelievably, a 6’3 large local fisherman lived in this tiny house with his partner for many years.
- This iconic structure revolutionized modern engineering, as it is the world first ever build and designed suspension bridge by Sir Thomas Telford, who build the bridge in 1819 to connect the village of Conwy with the opposite side of the estuary.
- Conwy harbour is a lovely setting for our lunch break. Overlooking the sailing boats with a picturesque backdrop. Sit outside if the weather is pleasant and enjoy the views. Full up we head to Llanrwst thereafter.
- We stop off at the majestic location of Tu-Hwnt-I’r Bont, the second most photographed image in Snowdonia, with Its setting next to the bridge and picturesque river Conwy.
- Betws Y Coed. This magical setting has a distinctly Alpine feel enhanced by the dense Gwydyr Forest surrounding. Breathe the fresh air; enjoy walking one of the many trails around the village. Eat locally sourced and award-winning food, drink in the diverse range of cafés & bistros, Browse crafts and gifts shops, and the collection of outdoor gear shops. There is something for everyone.
- Discover the dramatic and beautifully captivating Swallow Falls. This cascading waterfall is majestic in its setting, where the force of water meets natural beauty.
- Enjoy the scenic drive back down the cony valley following the estuary on our return leg back you Llanduno.
